Yes you are. Or you can join via Skype see
below. We can all hear each other speak unless I mute the call . This
means you have to find a good position for your speakerphone or computer
speakers.

Isn't it expensive to have a 90 minute phone call?
The best providers of bridging lines exist in the United States. This means that each time you attend a class, you will need to phone the United States or use Skype on broadband internet. Phone calls are usually cheaper via PREPAID phone cards but the quality is somewhat diminished. In Australia Telstra currently have a package you can subscribe to as an add-on to your home phone account where you can call for 2 cents/minute the quality is great.
a.
If you want a PREPAID CARD in Australia I recommend
the purchase of a $20 card - it should last for the 10 week course. To
ring the USA costs about 1.7 c/min with this account. So a 90 minute class
will
cost
you a
local
call
plus about $1.60 from your card! To use this prepaid account you call a
local phone number using your normal phone service. You then select your
language and then key in the pin code from your prepaid
card followed by the number you wish to dial. Cards are available at Post
Offices and Newsagents.
b.
In other countries its best to research your own local options ask a back-packer they always know the cheapest deals!
3.
What about Skype?
If you have broadband then Skype is a great option as you
can put your computer speakers on to hear the class and you have more control
of volume. Skype
is cheap and easy to use.
4.
Is there time to talk to other students?
We can be social just before or after the class I can keep the lines open for those who want to chat and catch up.
5.
Can I talk to you during the practices?
If necessary you can talk to me during the class to check on what we are doing. I suggest that this should happen between practices.
6.
What equipment do I need?
To make communications as easy as possible, I am suggesting
that the best phone equipment would be
a good-quality speakerphone. This will allow minimum interruption to the
practices. Otherwise see Skype above and turn
your speakers on!
